Dr. Chester (Chet) Ho joined Evolent Health in 2013 and is a member of Evolent’s Executive Leadership Team. In his current role as Associate Chief Medical Officer of Medicaid Services, Dr. Ho has national responsibility over all of Evolent's Medicaid markets and direct oversight of all Evolent market medical directors for the Medicaid line of business. Prior to this role, Dr. Ho served as the National Medical Executive for Medicaid solutions, leading physician engagement, clinical operations, and Medicaid Health Plan clinical model and business development support. Dr. Ho is also one of the executive physician leaders contributing to the development of Evolent’s population health model focusing on care management; physician/provider reporting; compensation innovation strategies; and medical economics innovation.
Dr. Ho’s previous experience on the provider side includes large physician group leadership, recruiting physicians and advanced practice providers, practice and hospital operations, and physician compensation innovation models. Dr. Ho also has led implementation of NCQA patient centered medical home, system wide EMRs, and population health models. Dr. Ho also has health plan experience as a UM Medical Director, and in provider sponsored health plan Board governance, quality, sales, risk adjustment, population health, and medical economics. Dr. Ho is a Board Certified Pediatrician who received his medical degree from The University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine and has done leadership coursework in business, finance, quality, managing physician performance, and physician leadership influence through the American Association for Physician Leadership (formerly ACPE).
