Scott currently serves as the National Medicaid President for Evolent Health. Scott has spent most of his career leading organizations dedicated to improving care for vulnerable populations, with a specific focus on government-sponsored healthcare programs in 25 states. He has spent more than two decades leading Medicaid health plans, including serving as CEO of UnitedHealthcare Community Plan of Tennessee, which was a statewide 600,000-member, fully-integrated (Long Term Services and Supports, Behavioral Health and Pharmacy) health plan. He launched two Medicaid health plans from the ground up, and was the executive leader over six Medicaid state health plans, with full accountability over all aspects of performance.
In each of his healthcare leadership roles, Scott has focused on improving member and patient outcomes through more effective care coordination. Both population health principles and value-based care models have been central to his approach toward a more efficient delivery of care.
Scott has an M.B.A. from Washington University and a B.A. in Psychology from Princeton University.
