Washington, D.C. As an Acceleration Partner, Evolent Health will support CERC’s mission of research, service and teaching related to the design and testing of innovative health care delivery methods that substantially lower health-related spending while improving quality and experience of care.
“Our participation in CERC’s Acceleration Partners’ program is an exciting way to advance our deep commitment to care delivery innovation, and we are honored to participate in CERC-organized knowledge exchange, innovation design, and embedded learning,” said Frank Williams, Chief Executive Officer of Evolent. “Value-based care is the future of U.S. health care. We need progressive organizations such as Stanford University and our partner systems joined together in a national network to drive care model innovation across the country.”
“We are very grateful for Evolent’s collaboration,” said Dr. Arnold Milstein, Professor of Medicine at Stanford University and head of CERC. “Our aim is to design and test new, more affordable methods of health care delivery in diverse U.S. health care sites. Evolent will be a strong ally in addressing this national imperative.”
In addition to its participation as a CERC Acceleration Partner, Evolent philanthropically supports Stanford University research by CERC to advance the science of care delivery.
About Stanford’s Clinical Excellence Research Center
The Clinical Excellence Research Center is dedicated to accelerating the discovery of clinical service innovations that improve the societal value of health care in the United States and globally. The Clinical Excellence Research Center organizes research teams from multiple Stanford Schools to design and test new methods of health care delivery that substantially reduce population-wide disability and annual per capita health spending in the near term. Research is led by teams of post-doctoral research fellows and mentored by faculty from multiple Stanford Schools with initial emphasis on Business, Engineering and Medicine. The center was launched amid intense debate over how to rein in health-care spending responsibly. It focuses on the discovery and refinement of new clinical service designs that improve health and patients’ experience of their care, while lowering annual per capita health-care spending. The mission of Stanford’s Clinical Excellence Research Center is to create innovative health care delivery models through research, service and teaching.
