The Evolent Health actuarial team supports the entire organization. We work with health plan and provider organizations across multiple lines of business to accelerate and enable their value-based care strategies. In addition to partnering with our clients, we provide expertise and R&D support to Evolent’s business development and corporate goals, including M&A and solution development.
What You’ll Be Doing:
As an actuarial analyst at Evolent, you’ll work directly on innovative and challenging projects that impact Evolent’s success. Full-time analysts will develop their actuarial skill set and acquire deep industry knowledge while working with one of the core actuarial teams: Commercial, Medicaid, Medicare Advantage, Payer Partnerships and Consulting.
Actuarial analysts will also be enrolled in a comprehensive actuarial exam program and receive structured mentorship and learning opportunities.
Strong applicants will demonstrate interest in the health care field in addition to meeting the qualifications outlined here.
The Experience You’ll Need (Required):
- Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, math, statistics, economics or related degree
- Passed one or more actuarial exams
- Exceptional analytical and mathematical skills
- Ability to communicate complex analyses effectively
- Demonstrated problem solving skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
- Ability to excel in highly matrixed environment and adapt to change
Finishing Touches (Preferred):
- Minimum 3.4 GPA in your major
- Experience in the health care field
- SAS and SQL experience
