Evolent Health is looking for a Technical Writer to join our Product Management team. The Product Management team identifies, scopes and delivers products used for value-based care and health plan services. The technical writer serves a critical role by maintaining the product documentation (e.g., user guides, release notes, online help) for our health plan services platform. The technical writer builds relationships with product stakeholders and subject matter experts of all types (e.g., developers, product managers/owners, end users) to understand product enhancements at both technical and business levels, and then translates that knowledge into straightforward, informative content
Create and maintain product documentation for our health plan services platform, e.g., web-based claims adjudication, web portals.
Publish product documentation on time based on product development lifecycle deadlines.
Build relationships with product stakeholders and subject matter experts to facilitate documentation efforts.
Identify and implement best practices to ensure high quality, product documentation distributed in a timely and appropriate manner
Key competencies/skill/success factors:
Experience working in a healthcare environment (ideally with exposure to health plan services concepts)
Strong time management and multitasking skills
Strong written and verbal communication skill
Qualification and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
3-5 years of experience working as a technical writer supporting a software product
3-5 years of experience working with product stakeholders/users to understand technical solutions for business requirements
3-5 years of experience with online help documentation (we use MadCap Flare)
Understanding of Scrum and Agile Methodologies
Experience reading use cases / user stories
Experience supporting web-based products
Experience with Jira/Confluence
Experience with instructional design, e.g., creating video overviews of product releases
