What you’ll be doing:

The Analyst, Quality Analytics will be working within the Quality team to develop, maintain, and improve reporting capabilities

  • Extract, analyze, and structure data from large, complex warehouses of health care-related data
  • Assist internal and external staff with data requests; collaborate with staff to develop and refine project requirements and scopes
  • Create secondary data sets from financial, pharmacy, claims, provider, and member data to support new and ongoing research
  • Work closely with a team of analysts to improve operational efficiencies, develop new reports, and innovate existing capabilities
  • Translate research and analysis findings into content for briefing documents and presentations
  • Become a resource for how quality performance programs apply to various lines of business (e.g., Medicare, Medicaid, and ACOs)

The Experience You’ll Need (Required):

  • Bachelor’s degree in public health, computer science, statistics, actuarial science, economics, health science, health administration, or related field
    • At least one semester of coursework which required use of SQL, SAS, R, Python, or other programming language; or certificate of completion for an online course which required use of a programming language
  • Advanced experience with Microsoft Excel
  • Desire to learn or expand knowledge of SQL and Python
  • Willingness to gain an understanding of Medicare, Medicaid, and ACO quality rating systems
  • Collaborative working style with the ability to work across different departments and personalities as well as comfort in a highly matrixed and ambiguous environment
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and timelines effectively

Finishing Touches (Preferred):

  • Bachelor’s degree and 1 year experience in health analytics, data science, or quantitative analyst role
  • Master’s degree in epidemiology, biostatistics, public health, data science, operations research, or related field
  • Familiarity with NCQA/HEDIS, CMS, or PQA quality measures
  • Exceptionally strong analytic abilities, with track record of identifying insights from quantitative and qualitative data
