What You’ll Be Doing:

  • You will deploy changes to environments manually and via automated tools
  • You will assist in troubleshooting issues in environments in order to keep systems up and running for both testing and production activities
  • You will assist in maintaining existing tools as well as designing and implementing new tools for the environment management
  • You will be responsible for coordinating, tracking and assisting in the execution of environment refresh requests, build requests, change requests, environment conflict and dependencies
  • You will be responsible for assisting with the creation of environments for new clients as well as the decommissioning processes for clients that no longer contract with Evolent
  • You will be responsible for making sure all change requests (CRs) are compliant with process and requirements
  • You will participate in Change Advisory Board meetings and assist in ticket management when needed
  • You will maintain environment and process documentation and procedures

The Experience You’ll Need (Required):

  • 3-5 years of experience in environment management and systems administration
  • Experience in the management of production level environments
  • Excellent communication and time/resource management skills
  • Ability to understand application architecture including upstream and downstream data flows
  • Proven experience in build, refresh & reuse of application environments for working through a Software Development Life Cycle
  • Flexibility - responsibilities may require evening and weekend work
  • Experience working with and guiding on and offshore resources
  • Ability to manage multiple activities with competing priorities

One or More of the Following Skillsets Desired:

  • Web server management and administration using tools such as IIS, JBOSS, Apache or similar
  • Continuous Integration Server administration using Jenkins/Hudson, Bamboo or similar
  • Knowledge of one or more scripting languages such as Powershell, Python, Ruby or similar
  • Knowledge of MSSQL
  • Proven experience with automating release and build processes
  • Experience with Docker, Chef, and VMWare
  • Experience with Atlassian tools (Jira, Bamboo, Crucible, Confluence and Fisheye)
  • Experience coding with C#, C++
  • Microsoft network administration
