Who You’ll Be Working With:

The Administrative Coordinator, Customer Service, will work directly with the Customer Service department and will be responsible for completing patient and provider notifications to inform of approved medical treatment in accordance with departmental policies, regulatory requirements, and client/CMS contractual agreements. Along with providing exceptional customer service, this role is held accountable to performance metrics to ensure service level agreements are met. This role routinely contacts the provider offices, Health Plans or patients to complete notifications.


What You’ll Be Doing:

Make telephonic outreach to health plans, provider offices and patients.

Complete notifications telephonically as well as by generating letter notifications to inform of authorized medical treatment requests.

Utilize engagement strategies to build rapport.

Accurately document information received from members, provider offices, and health plan clients into New Century Health’s online clinical system.

Perform clerical duties such as faxing and scanning documents, creating shipping labels, preparing letters and parcels using office machines, such as printers, photocopies, scanners, facsimile machines, telephone and voice mail systems and computer-based programs such as Microsoft Office.

Support UM functions by performing activities that do not require evaluation or interpretation of clinical information.

Assist in completing daily tasks by participating in meetings and working closely with the management team and Client Services staff.

Perform other duties as assigned.

The Experience You’ll Need (Required):

Strong attention to detail and organization. 

Strong listening skills.

Ability to use positive language and exercise patience.

Good Interpersonal, oral and written communication skills. 

Integrity and discretion to maintain confidentiality of members, employee and physician data.

Ability to work in a team environment. 


Finishing Touches (Preferred):

Bilingual English and Spanish (strongly preferred).

Willingness to learn new skills. 

Strong work ethic built on a foundation of proactivity and teamwork. 

Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office.
