Evolent Health is seeking a security focused Security Administrator to be a member of Evolent Health’s IT Infrastructure team.  This position will play a crucial role in supporting the IT needs of our staff on a day to day basis.  The ideal candidate will be able to think creatively, work efficiently, and adapt quickly to the ever-changing priorities that come with supporting a large organization.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Work with Security Team on vulnerability assessments
  • Work with IT Team to remediate security findings
  • Ability to research and respond to zero-day vulnerabilities
  • Design, run, and develop scripts
  • Responsible for patching of Linux, Windows, and Network systems
  • Documenting Security Controls
  • Meeting with system owners for testing security patches
  • Work closely with the application team to support requirements and releases
  • Ensure version and change control procedure adherence

The Experience You’ll Need (Required):

  • 3+ years of experience in systems security practices
  • 3+ years of experience with security tools
  • 2+ years of experience with working in a corporate security environment
  • Writing and modifying scripts (e.g.:PowerShell) for deploying security scripts across enterprise wide systems
  • Experience using infrastructure monitoring and security tools
  • Experience with centralized patching best practices
  • Security focused

Finishing Touches (Preferred):

  • Background in Healthcare
  • Prior experience in a customer-interfacing role
  • Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot customer facing issues using appropriate monitoring and diagnostic tools
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, along with collaborative team skills
  • Ability to think critically and solve complex issues
  • Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot customer facing issues using appropriate monitoring and diagnostic tools
  • Ability to prioritize across multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Ability to adapt in a fast pace and growing environment
